Rob Marshall is the creative force behind Humanist, a collaborative music project that brings together some of the most iconic voices in modern rock. Known for its evocative blend of post-punk, alternative rock, and cinematic soundscapes, Humanist serves as a powerful exploration of life, loss, and redemption through music.

The project boasts a stellar roster of collaborators, including Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), the late Mark Lanegan, Peter Hayes (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), Isobel Campbell, James Allan (Glasvegas), Ed Harcourt, and Tim Smith (Midlake). These partnerships give Humanist its distinct sound, weaving together diverse influences into a cohesive artistic statement.

Rob’s connection with Mark Lanegan runs deep, having co-written two albums with him for Lanegan’s solo career. Their collaboration includes the critically acclaimed Gargoyle, which received glowing five-star reviews in The Guardian and The Times. Rob also contributed significantly to Lanegan’s album Somebody’s Knocking, further solidifying their creative synergy and shared artistic vision. These records highlight the depth of their partnership and Rob’s role in shaping Lanegan’s remarkable sound during this era.

On stage, Humanist Live delivers a visceral, unforgettable experience, featuring the incredible Jimmy Gnecco (Ours) as a core performer. Earlier this year, Humanist joined Depeche Mode on tour, captivating audiences alongside legends like Jane’s Addiction, before embarking on their own sell-out headline tour.
