JONNYGUY was born on the west coast of Cape Town, South Africa. His father was a pirate who handed down his ocean sailing ways to his children, leading JONNYGUY to sail the seven seas in his early youth. Naturally he found himself washed up on the shores of the Caribbean, where his true inspiration for creating music began.

Based out of St. Maarten, JONNYGUY produces a music genre that blurs the lines of Tropical Indie and Reggae influences, sharing messages about embracing life’s highs and lows.

In 2023 JONNYGUY completed his first headline tour of Europe. This summer 2025, he will be returning to tour the release of his upcoming EP “Waiting for the Moon”
