NACHTEULEN / KUNDÊ EVÊ is a Kurdish-German production for people aged 4 and above about sleeping, dreaming and the night. Together with children from Altona, rituals, worries and fantasies about falling asleep were explored. The result is a poetic, multilingual play in German and Kurdish spoken language that poses questions: What keeps us awake? Who does the sleep belong to?
The intercultural ensemble offers identification opportunities for non-white children and invites into an atmospheric world around a large bed - a place that transforms, connects and welcomes everyone. Music, language and images interweave to create a sensory experience for everyone, regardless of origin or language. NACHTEULEN / KUNDÊ EVÊ celebrates diversity, quietly tells of the political and creates space for new perspectives - for children and adults alike.
