„The Vagina Monologues" is an award-winning masterpiece. A collection of 12 monologues based on interviews with over 200 women. It is witty, it is moving, it is wise and it is compassionate. A play that has been performed thousands of times around the world for the past 20 years. From an underground production at a secret location in Pakistan to an ‚emergency’ production in front of the statehouse in Lansing, Michigan, after it was claimed the word vagina was now not allowed to be spoken. In front of the Mostar Bridge, Bosnia where the monologue of rape during the war was performed by, and for, the women of Bosnia. And countless performances where the actual title was censored and was called either ‚V. Monologues‘ or simply ‚Monologues‘.
