After a run of standout editions, Torture the Artist presents eDEMi returns to Haus 73 for its first
encounter of the new year - and with a guest whose presence signals just how magnetic this night
will be. On January 31st, Hamburg welcomes Nuts for his long-awaited city debut, marking
another milestone moment for the Hanseatic underground.
Hailing from Nice, Nuts arrives in Hamburg fresh from completing his upcoming EP “World Tour 2"
and a full album for Dawidu’s Attention Spin! label - releases that cement his status as one of the
most exciting producers in the scene today. His sound sits at the front edge of a new movement:
Hip-Hop sensibility meeting House music architecture, fusing R&B tones, ’90s/early-2000s Hip-
Hop energy, and underground electronics into something equal parts raw, radiant, and deeply
addictive. While the first “World Tour EP“ revolved around the mythos of New York, its successor
points the compass towards Los Angeles, capturing West Coast warmth through a club lens. The
album, meanwhile, expands the universe entirely - keeping the stylistic DNA without anchoring
itself to one city. A rising star with humility to match his momentum, Nuts embodies the spirit of
eDEMi: bold taste, free thinking, and an ear tuned to the now.
The evening begins upstairs - where the first-floor Salon opens its doors to the public for the
recorded warm-up session, framed by Haus 73’s warm glow over the Schanze. The warm-up is
led by three artists who represent the many angles of today’s House continuum: Nuts, Holger
Breuer, and Selin.
Later, the night moves into the Anbau, the intimate club space within Haus 73, where Nuts steps
into the booth alongside Holger Breuer - a selector whose contribution to Hamburg’s cultural
fabric cannot be overstated. As head of Torture the Artist, Holger has spent years building bridges
between the city and the international underground, championing vinyl culture, detail-driven
curation, and a programming ethos that places Hamburg back into global focus. Smooth in
selection yet fearless in intuition, he brings a musical touch that has shaped eDEMi since day one.
Completing the warm-up trio is Selin, an emerging artist from Berlin whose sets breathe with
energy and precision. Her style pulls threads from House, UKG, French-coded funk and Minimal
grooves, stitched together through tight execution and future-minded charm. Still at the beginning
of her journey, Selin is already making her mark in the German capital - and now steps into the
eDEMi cosmos for the first time.
With past editions hosting the likes of Horsemen, Filippo MSM & Cat Curl, J6, Dawidu or Ballan,
eDEMi has grown into a platform where international craft meets local devotion - where artists
connect across scenes, and where nights are built around music rather than hype. The sixth
edition promises more of that essence: intimacy over spectacle, community over clichés, and a
lineup that mirrors the evolution of the underground itself.
