Im offenen Dialog führen die Kuratorin Nadine Isabelle Henrich und Bindi Vora von Autograph London durch die Ausstellung von Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah.
Adu-Sanyah (*1990, Bonn) ist eine deutsch-ghanaische Künstlerin aus Zürich. Sie beschäftigt sich mit der Wechselwirkung von Materialität und emotionalen Zuständen in der Fotografie. Durch iterative und prozessorientierte Methoden entwickelt sie Arbeiten in ihrer Farbdunkelkammer, die zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen und institutionelle Aspekte von Umwelt und Gesellschaft untersuchen. In ihrer Praxis, die sowohl forschungsbasiert als auch von autobiografischen Themen geprägt ist, verbindet sie analoge Techniken mit zeitgenössischen Technologien und entwirft komplexe Bildwelten, die mediale Grenzen verschieben und neue Wahrnehmungsräume öffnen.

Adu-Sanyah (b. 1990, Bonn) is a German-Ghanaian artist based in Zurich. She explores the interplay between materiality and emotional states in photography. Using iterative and process-oriented methods, she develops works in her colour darkroom that explore interpersonal relationships and institutional aspects of the environment and society. In her practice, which is both research-based and shaped by autobiographical themes, she combines analogue techniques with contemporary technologies to create complex visual worlds that shift media boundaries and open up new spaces of perception.
