Out of Pandora's Box Ballett & Tanz

8 nations – a production full of power and passion. Out Of Pandora’s Box is the new work by choreographer Heidi Rehse. Together with 20 dancers, a very special story is created.

Pandora is a character in Greek mythology. She is the first woman to be created from clay at the behest of Zeus, the father of the gods. As the instrument of revenge of Zeus, who was enraged by man’s theft of fire, Pandora is blamed for spreading all evil throughout the world. So much for the well-known story.
Salamaleque Dance Company / Dancers across Borders search for the real Pandora and let her tell her own story. Is Pandora dead or does her spirit live on in women? Was she happy? Did she laugh, love, suffer? And what about hope? The Dance Company is looking for answers to these questions.
